250 main from the 02 Pontiac SX. A classic. Terrific charge from RC.
I wonder what JS7s career would have looked like if he had stayed at Kawi. His program was dialed back then.
This announcer is clueless. I had to mute the sound. He’s no idea what he’s watching or talking about. I could’ve done a far superior job calling this race. I grow weary….
thanks for sharing!!!
Good days of Supercross, great competitive racing by all, Bailey & Brock tagged each other & Brocks bike ending up in the spectators row...classic.
Love those members only jackets ! Rock on
Bailey refused to acknowledge emig. Art says something about emig gaining a position and bailey starts talking about whoops. They’re talking about the leader and McGrath goes from 9th to 8th and Bailey says oh Jeremy moved up a position. Get off his fucking nuts my god
Donny Schmit. My son. 😊😂 died at 29 from aplastic anemia
Nice pass too tall !!!
What about BOB HANNAH ????
He dnf’d. It was the only race he rode in ‘80…
@@charlesharper6421 gear box as i recall now , thanks👊
So that’s what it was he wasn’t listed in the race results on racer x vault. How many titles and races would he have won if not for the broken leg…cut him down right in his prime..
Man chuck sun sure was an under rated talent !
I raced Silver Kings hard enduro in 2021 and he raced it also. It was cool to see him walking around and riding in person. Nice guy. He travels around in a van with his bike and rides all over
Reed was a joke
Wow, Bob Hannah flying wfo, lot of talent there
Cant believe jeff ward tore his knee broke his wrist shattered ankle raced and won anyways
Bringing back such great memories. Appreciate ya 👊✌️😉
The Honda handle better than the Kawasaki
That was probably the last time for 35 years that a husky would lead a sx race
Yeh but they’re kinda back..
Hello! I'm interested in licensing this clip. Are you the owner?
Love it
Lol@ The camera man with the cig hanging out his mouth
Alotta riders...
Good bikes too....strong....
Him or DiStefano could bunny hop into the back of a truck....
Who couldn’t.
Marty Tripes may have been one of the best ever...
Hannah said when Marty was on ,nobody including him could lay a glove on him. I believe it.
Husky is more known for their chain saws...m
Those electro lux vacuum cleaners where pretty good too
Husky 2-Strokes.....old school....a chain saw actually....
Ward raced that whole decade and won 2...
I was born in 1980....actually 1975....
McKenna wuz a cool dude....McKenna wuz good at BMX....
Wow....only a couple of years later the field was entirely different....'84 would have had Johnson, Ward, Lechein etc ....
Shultz is probably my kinsfolk as I'm from Bainbridge....and so are sum Schultz....
I see the 'Miller Time' banner....my Mom is a Miller and apparently my Grandfather was in 'Any Given Sunday'....
So Mark is Austin's people....Austin was good....super talented.....
He had a suede seat...lols....I saw it in the pits....
It wuz a nudder.....well....not really a mudder....but it rained as well....
I went to the Atlanta Supercross in '87 in that Stadium when RJ lost his first race....
History was made when Bruce Jenner became the first women motocross commentator.
Vintage mx! Real men only need 5 inches!!!!
What about the guys on the stripped down behemoth British 4-strokes with zero suspension. They were the real men.
@@charlesharper6421 as I grew up on hand shift foot clutch and a hard tail.. them were not just men. They were legendary
Yep.we ran what was available at the time. I’ve never ridden a “modern” bike…
R.I.P. Mike "TOO TALL" Bell
Gen. 1 Aluminum frame couldnt have been that bad for #1 and #3 spots.
Thank you for posting this!! The track is sick, man u can tell the riders back then were so much chiller and relaxed kevin looks like hes just out for a sunday cruise
I know the bikes were basically junk compared to today but these guys look so slow. I guess smoking cigarettes and getting drunk the night before a race didn't help either
honda was puple back then
David Bailey second year as a professional to SEE THESE GUYS GO AT IT DAVID BAILEY BROC GLOVER, BOB HANNAH, JOHNNY O'SHOW O'MARA THESE GUYS WERE CRUSHING IT!
What ate they riding? I heard Maico had the best bike in 81'
I think Donny Hanson's wife Lisa was likely so proud of her big boy moto hubby!
Listen @ 6 min and 51 seconds into the race. Art says Brock Sellards is from New Phildelphia Ohio.. the same place the one and only David Hill is from... For those who dont know who thst is. #357 on a Suzuki and a Ricky Carmichael look alike... Good ppl.....
'84 was Johnnie's year. Way to go O'Show!
"Motorcycle motocross"...
currently Oh , presently No , Gibbs racing raring to go , gone also . The monoque is to Japan . And individualiity is killing & shredding away current stacks!
David Bailey was the man started racing an 86 cr 500 because of him did very well that man was a huge inspiration on and off the track D.h
